Italian Spicy Sausage

Italian Spicy Sausage 




I love Italian hot sausage, but impossible to get anything good where I live at a grocery store. If you want it really spicy, you can double the cayenne pepper. Use to make pizza, patties, meatballs, so lots of uses!

Ingredients
1 pound ground pork
1 teaspoon fennel seed
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons paprika 
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika 
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon dry red wine
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions 
1. In small bowl, mix all the dry ingredients and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, mix the pork and red wine together.
3. Take the bowl of dry ingredients and mix it in with the meat. Mix well with hands or a stand mixer. 
4. Cover and put in frig for 4-8 hours or overnight, then use or freeze.
