Creamy Beef Pasta
This is a great tasting dish with many favours! This uses ground beef, tomato sauce, cream and cheddar cheese. Conchiglie pasta soaks up a lot of sauce is what this recipe uses, but any pasta will work.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 pounds of extra lean ground beef
1 pound of conchiglie pasta
1 cup beef broth
2 cans of tomato sauce, 14 ounce
1/4 cup flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
parsley (optional for garnish)
Directions
1. In a large skillet, heat to medium and add olive oil, onions, garlic and saute for about 5 minutes.
2. Add in beef and cook until no pink remains, then drain off grease.
3. Reduce heat to simmer and add in beef broth, tomato sauce, flour, salt, basil, oregano, crushed red pepper and cook for 20 minutes, occasionally stirring.
4. Cook pasta to 2 minutes less then the finish time on the box. Once done, drain the pasta.
5. Turn off heat and add in cream and pasta.
6. Add in cheddar cheese, stir well and serve.
