CHICK-FIL-A Crispy Fried Chicken copycat
I love fried chicken and this is my fav!
Ingredients
4 chicken breasts cut into pieces
2 cups pickle juice
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 cups of flour
4 tablespoons of powered sugar
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1 tablespoon for spicy
Sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
3 teaspoons yellow mustard
2 teaspoons BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
1. Cut chicken up into 2 inch pieces, put in a sealable bag or a bowl in pickle juice and marinate for 8 hours or overnight.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
3. Heat fryer or pan of oil to 320 degrees.
4. Combine eggs and milk and mix in a bowl and in another bowl, combine flour, powered sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, baking powder, chili powder and cayenne and mix well.
5. Take chicken out of pickle juice and pat dry on a plate. This will allow the batter to stick better.
7. In batches, dip in milk egg mixture, then the flour mixture. Do this twice.
8. Fry in batches for 5-8 minutes.
9. Plate and enjoy!
