Swedish Meatballs & Noodles

Swedish Meatballs & Noodles

Swedish meatballs is something I had at every church potluck and you usually saw 3 different ones. This is a Minnesota favorite and a easy recipe!

Ingredients
Meatballs
1 pound very lean ground beef
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon parsley
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 cup minced onion
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil

1 package of noodles ( 1 pound)

Sauce
2 cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons flour
5 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Directions
1. In a large bowl, mix all the meatball ingredients with your hands until well mixed.

2. Roll into 12 meatballs.

3. Heat large skillet to medium heat, add olive oil and meatball and cook till all sides are browned.

4. Take meatballs out and put on a plate and turn down heat medium low.

5. In another bowl mix all your sauce ingredients and pour into the skillet you took you meatballs out of.

6. Stir sauce till it becomes thick, then turn down heat to low.

7. Add meatballs back in with the sauce and cover and simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.

8.  Cook noodles according to the package.

9. When noodles are done, serve with meatballs and sauce. Enjoy!
